Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo warns against newest COVID-19 vaccine push

September 10, 2023 by Jack Leave a Comment

Florida’s Surgeon General went on a rant during a press conference slamming vaccines like the ones for COVID-19, painting them as dangerous despite their support from most doctors.

Longtime masking opponent Joseph Ladapo stood alongside Gov. Ron DeSantis to rip the latest shot, which is expected to be available this month.

“There’s essentially no evidence for it,” Ladapo said at a “Mandate Freedom” press conference in Jacksonville.

“These new RNA COVID-19 vaccines include the fact that they actually cause cardiac injury in many people … call it subclinical myocarditis, its clinical significance is really unknown,” he said, referring to a condition that medical experts say is a “very rare” side effect of Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.

The state surgeon also claimed there have been no clinical trials conducted on the effects of the new booster on human beings, a statement that is reportedly false.

Ladapo also claimed that several studies proved that vaccines increase an individual’s chances of contracting Covid-19, saying “There are a lot of red flags.”

And while the US Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization and most nations around the world tout mRNA-style COVID-19 vaccines as safe and effective, Ladapo dismissed supporters of vaccines and encouraged people who don’t want to get vaccinated to go with their gut.

Lapado also applauded the governor for standing against experts with “PhDs and MDs” who pushed for social distancing, masking and vaccinations despite his nonexistent background in the medical realm.

“Remember that experience of hearing these very educated people telling you what you should think but then listening inside to what makes sense, right? What feels right. You know what feels like truth,” Lapado said.

“We’re all in different points in our spiritual journeys, but we all have that connection at some level. And when they try to convince you to be comfortable and agree with things that don’t feel comfortable, and don’t feel like things you should agree with, that is a sign … That’s a gift that’s one of that’s something that we’re endowed with from our Creator.”

Hospitalizations from COVID-19 have also risen since July, according to data from the CDC.
